Hi all...just joined the tribe. This past sept. I made my first solo trip to WDW. I was there a week all by myself and just had a ball. Really a different experience from going with family or friends (those trips are fun too, just in a different way.) Anyone else made a solo trip? And how was it?

Tue, March 30, 2004 - 11:24 AMHi Steve! Welcome to the tribe :) I have never made a solo trip to WDW, which is shocking given the number of times that I've been to the parks. I do always like an afternoon or morning by myself - to shop or eat or just take in the sights. I find that I mainly sit and people watch more than go on rides alone. There's something about being in the warm, fresh air watching all the happy kids and families - really makes it feel like Disney for me. -

On my solo trip I rushed around and did as much as I could in the first few days. Then I took it easy for a few days. I did spend some time just sitting, watching people, enjoying the magic. The neat part about going solo is that I could decide to do whatever I wanted, even at the last minute, without having to try to come to a consensus with the group.

Wed, March 31, 2004 - 9:09 AMGod, I hope I can do a solo trip sometime....the only time I ever went sans family was 4 years ago with my ex, her sister and her sister's bf at the time.......I can see it being awesome if I were to stay for a week on a solo trip :-D
